Pratyusha Banerjee’s BF Rahul Raj Singh Claims She Never Dated Vikas Gupta: ‘He Had Proposed To Her, She Had Declined As She Was Aware Of His Sexuality’

A few days ago, Vikas Gupta claimed that he had dated Pratyusha Banerjee for a short span of time. His revelation came 5 years after Pratyusha’s death. Vikas also said in an interview with ETimes that Pratyusha found out about him being bisexual after they had parted ways. However, Pratyusha’s beau Rahul Raj Singh has now dismissed these claims by Vikas, and said that Pratyusha had never dated Vikas, and that he is only using her name to gain publicity.
While speaking to ETimes, Rahul said, “Pratyusha never dated Vikas, so the question of them parting ways doesn’t arise. In fact, they weren’t even on talking terms after a point. He shouldn’t cook up stories for publicity. Pratyusha would have slapped him had she been alive.” He further added that Pratyusha had not been one to hide her personal life, and was always open about her relationships. He said that Vikas is making these claims now because the person isn’t alive to respond to his claims. Rahul said that Pratyusha had told him when they were doing the show Power Couple (2015) that Vikas had proposed to her, and that she had declined it as she was aware of his sexuality.
“When I asked her why didn’t take up any project after Balika Vadhu and cash in on the success of her show, she told me that Vikas had planned a project with her, which he scrapped later,” said Rahul.
Pratyusha Banerjee was most popularly known for her role in Balika Vadhu. She passed away on April 1, 2016, after which Rahul was accused of abetment of suicide. He was granted anticipatory bail by the Bombay High Court three months later.
